Abstract

BRICS has emerged as an influential platform in the evolving global order, challenging traditional structures of international economic and political governance. India occupies a significant position within BRICS, balancing its commitment to strategic autonomy with its expanding partnership with the United States. India’s engagement with BRICS reflects its interests in strengthening the Global South, promoting multipolarity, and enhancing economic cooperation. At the same time, its relationship with the US remains crucial for trade, technology, defence, and regional security. This webinar examines India’s strategic position between BRICS and the US, exploring opportunities, challenges, and its implications for the changing global geopolitical landscape.
