Abstract
The concept of digital transformation has become a driving force behind innovation across industries, with significant implications for sustainability. From a business organization’s perspective, the adoption of digital technologies can catalyze eco-efficient practices, enable resource optimization, and promote the development of sustainable products and services. However, the journey is not without obstacles. Businesses in the Global North often encounter issues such as high implementation costs, skill gaps, and regulatory complexities, while companies in the Global South may struggle with infrastructure limitations, access to technology, and financial constraints. By comparing the unique challenges and opportunities in both regions, this webinar explores the opportunities and challenges that businesses face when leveraging digital transformation to foster sustainability-oriented innovation, focusing on both the Global North and Global South.
