EGROW Foundation has constituted a Shadow Monetary Policy Committee of academicians, practioners and financial market specialists.

As Mentioned Previously, the EGROW SMPC will meet regularly every two months, a day before the monetary policy is announced by the RBI. It will enter its fourth phase of discussion and will present views on monetary policy and the direction of interest rates on Friday, May 31, 2019.

The SMPC aims to transparently discuss the interest rate scenario considering economic conditions within the country amidst the context of global situation. The aim is to build and contribute to the debate on macroeconomics and monetary policy by a set of economists thinking independently on these issues. The objective of this exercise is also to provide inputs to the officials involved in policy making, after extensive discussions and deliberations.
