Abstract

Indo-Russia economic relations have evolved into a multifaceted partnership shaped by strategic cooperation, energy security, and growing trade complementarities. Russia remains a key supplier of defence equipment, crude oil, and nuclear technology, while India offers a large market, skilled workforce, and expanding investment opportunities. Recent years have seen diversification beyond defence into energy, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, and high-technology sectors. Despite challenges such as sanctions on Russia and logistical constraints, both nations continue to strengthen economic engagement through bilateral agreements and initiatives like the International North–South Transport Corridor. The partnership remains vital for regional stability and long-term economic collaboration. The panelists will deliberate on emerging opportunities, existing bottlenecks, and the future trajectory of Indo-Russia economic cooperation in an increasingly uncertain global environment.
