About the Speakers

Kuldip Kaur

Kuldip Kaur is a Professor at the Punjab School of Economics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India. She has extensive teaching and research experience in industrial economics and Indian economic problems. Kuldip Kaur has published 93 journal articles, 21 conference papers, and 15 book chapters, and she is also worked on 12 research projects. She is a Life Member of Indian economic association, Indian Society of Agriculture Economics, Indian Society of Labour Economics and Indian Society of Regional Economics.

Anupama Uppal

Anupama Uppal is a Professor and Head of Economics in the Department of Economics, Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab, India. She has been teaching for 28 and has published widely including three books and numerous journal articles. Her areas of specialization include social and economic inequalities in the Indian labour market and feminist economics.She is awarded the Best Research Paper in Labour Economics for the paper entitled ‘Globalization and Employment of Women Workers in Unorganised Manufacturing Sector of India’, Indian Society of Labour Economics, Golden Jubilee Conference, December, 2008. She is a life member of Indian Economic Association, Indian Society of Labour Economics, Indian Society of Economic Development and Policy, Indian Political Economy Association.

Meenu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics Panjab University Chandigarh. She has worked as an Assistant Professor (Economics) Bebe Nanaki GNDU college, Panjab University, Constitute College and Hindu Kanya College. She is published various researcher paper, Journals,Book. She is a member of Swachta (cleanliness) audit team at PU Chandigarh since 2016 under the Swach Bharat Abhiyan which is the most significant campaign by the Govt. of India. She is also a member of Academic, Administrative and Technical Committees of TIGR2ESS project and Research Degree Committee in Economics. She is currently the Secretary of Academic/Administrative/Technical Committee at Department of Economics, PU Chandigarh, and the Board of Control, Department of Economics.

Mr. Dilpreet Singh Boparai

Mr. Dilpreet Singh Boparai, General Secretary of Mohali Industries Association and Proprietor of V K Engineering Works, specializes in manufacturing engine and tractor parts. His company supplies CNC machined casting components to leading tractor OEMs like M&M and Swaraj Engines Ltd. Mr. Boparai holds a Bachelor of Engineering and an MBA from Caledonian University. Since 2022, he has played a pivotal role as General Secretary of MIA, advocating for industry interests and fostering growth in the manufacturing sector.
