Asbtract

MSMED 2026 provides a platform to explore emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. The webinar will bring together academicians, industry professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and researchers to discuss innovation, digital transformation, sustainable business practices, access to finance, entrepreneurship, and policy support for MSMEs. It will highlight practical strategies for strengthening competitiveness, resilience, and inclusive growth in a rapidly changing global economy. Through expert insights and interactive discussions, MSMED 2026 aims to facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and actionable solutions that can contribute to the sustainable development and long-term success of MSMEs.

Short Bio

Anil Bharadwaj

Mr. Anil Bhardwaj is the Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) in New Delhi and a private sector and trade development professional. He holds master's degrees in Economics and International Trade. His specializations include industrial and trade policy issues, the promotional and regulatory environment for SMEs, and market access issues related to MSMEs in multilateral trade negotiations (like the WTO) and regional trade agreements.

He has advised on and worked on several SME development projects commissioned by multilateral and bilateral agencies, including the World Bank, ADB, UNCTAD, UNIDO, UNDP, UNESCAP, ITC (Geneva), the Asian Productivity Council (Tokyo), the EU, DFID, and GIZ. He has authored books and guides for SMEs and writes regularly on issues affecting Indian MSMEs.

He has been a two-term Governing Board member of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad. He is currently a member of the Uttar Pradesh Economic Advisory Group, which was set up by the Government of UP to accelerate economic growth. He is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Intra-Commonwealth SME Association (ICSA) in London.

Mayank Gaur

Mayank Gaur is Joint Secretary at the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME), with over 10 years of experience working across the government, development, corporate, grassroots, and multilateral sectors. His professional experience includes roles with HelpAge India, Deloitte India, UNICEF, the Government of India’s WASH initiatives, and Mother Dairy.

He is a member of stakeholder groups constituted by the Ministries of Commerce and External Affairs and has participated as a speaker at the ODR Policy Summit and various roundtable discussions on MSME issues.His core areas of expertise include project management, policy advocacy, proposal and report writing, budget administration, legal advocacy, research, and conference and seminar speaking. He holds a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from Copenhagen Business School, LL.B. from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Law University and PGDRM from IRMA,

Vinod Vashisht

Mr. Vinod Vashisht is an Indian industrialist and the current National President of the All India Steel Re-Rollers Association (AISRA). He is a prominent voice for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India's secondary steel sector.

Beyond his national presidency at AISRA, he serves as the Chairman of Lakshmi Steel Rolling Mills, which operates as one of the largest medium-sized industrial enterprises in the famous steel cluster of Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab

Rakesh Rattan Aggarwal

Shri Rakesh Rattan Aggarwal is an industrialist and a prominent representative of the micro, small and medium enterprise sector in Punjab and Chandigarh. He currently serves as Secretary of the Derabassi Industries Association and is associated with the Federation of Industrial Associations, Punjab.

He has extensive experience in entrepreneurship, manufacturing and industrial development. He is the proprietor of NFOL Enterprises and has served in leadership roles across several Chandigarh-based business entities.

He is regularly represents the concerns of MSMEs in discussions involving industrial policy, institutional finance, competitiveness and regulatory reform. He is also a member of the Administrator’s Advisory Council of the Union Territory of Chandigarh for the 2025–2026 term.

Mukhinder Singh

Mukhinder Singh is a prominent industrialist and former local president who serves as the Secretary for the Phagwara unit of Laghu Udyog Bharati.

He manages State Engineering Corporation, which manufactures lathe chucks under the brand name Seco Chucks.He actively participates in industrial delegations and policy discussions through Laghu Udyog Bharati to address challenges faced by small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Punjab.

Suresh Gupta

Shri Suresh Gupta is a prominent micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) leader who serves as the State Joint Treasurer of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) for the Punjab State Team. He actively champions local MSMEs by working alongside state leadership and government bodies.
