Abstract

India’s economic resilience and self-reliance can be strengthened through PM’s Seven Appeals, which encourage responsible consumption and sustainable living. The appeals focus on prioritising work from home, reducing fuel consumption, avoiding unnecessary gold purchases, cutting edible oil usage, adopting natural farming, embracing Swadeshi products, and postponing non-essential foreign travel. Together, these measures aim to reduce import dependency, conserve foreign exchange, support local industries, and promote environmental sustainability. This webinar will discuss the significance of these appeals, their impact on the economy and society, and practical ways citizens, businesses, and farmers can contribute toward building a stronger and more self-reliant India.
