Conference held on Indo-Sri Lanka Economic Conference

The Indo–Sri Lanka Economic Conference highlighted opportunities to deepen bilateral economic relations beyond traditional trade. Organised by EGROW Foundation with support from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, it brought together policymakers, academics and business leaders to explore practical areas of cooperation. Discussions focused on trade and logistics, investment, infrastructure, energy connectivity, tourism, digital infrastructure, services and the Blue Economy. Sri Lanka’s strategic Indian Ocean location and potential as a regional logistics hub were emphasised. The conference viewed Sri Lanka’s economic recovery as an opportunity for mutually beneficial engagement. Overall, it advocated deeper economic integration through connectivity, investment, energy cooperation and people-to-people linkages.
