Presently, he is Professor & Head, Department of Economics, Tripura University. Earlier he worked as Reader, Dept. of Economics, Tripura University from 29th April, 2009 to 28th April, 2012 and Worked as Assistant Professor in Economics at various Degree colleges under the Government of Tripura. He has completed his Phd in Economics from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan
