Mr. Jiji Mammen is the Executive Director & CEO of Sa-Dhan, India’s leading Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO) for the microfinance sector. He assumed the role in June 2022, bringing over 36 years of extensive experience in microfinance, agriculture, and rural development. Prior to Sa-Dhan, he served as Managing Director of NABFINS, an NBFC-MFI promoted by NABARD. He was also the Founder Managing Director & CEO of MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Ltd.), established to implement the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, where he led the organisation during its formative years.

Mr. Mammen has held senior leadership positions at NABARD, including Chief General Manager, heading regional offices in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, and serving as Head of the Department of Refinance. He has also been a faculty member at the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Mangaluru.

An alumnus of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, he holds a postgraduate degree in agricultural sciences, a degree in law, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB). He has represented institutions at several national and international conferences and continues to be a key voice in India’s rural finance ecosystem.
