Pankaj Sharma is a Bachelor of Technology (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from N.I.T. Kurukshetra (1989 batch). He brings over 34 years of rich and diverse experience spanning engineering and financial services. He began his career with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and subsequently worked with leading organisations including RPG Itochu Finance Ltd. and Citibank N.A. / Citicorp Finance (India) Ltd. (CFIL), where he spent nearly 15 years building deep expertise in credit, risk, and financial operations.

At Religare Finvest, Pankaj served as Chief Risk Officer, leading Credit, Risk & Operations for over five years, before being elevated to the role of Chief Executive Officer. As CEO of Religare Finvest, he worked closely with the Board and senior leadership team to drive long-term vision, strategic direction, and overall business growth of the organisation.
