Dr. Charan Singh observed that Fintech and Banking will become inseparable in years to come. The future of banking is absorbing technology in banking activities and expanding banking sphere across the country. He, however said that India is unique and application of technology in the financial sector has to take into account different languages spoken in the country, high level of illiteracy and different levels of income in different parts of country. He also mentioned, given the vastness of Indian economy and wide differences in sources of income and business activities, ranging from head load workers, small enterprises to world-class shopping malls and automated high tech industries, the Digital and Fintech research has to be unique for India.
